Specializing in Promoting Equitable, Trauma-Informed Restorative Educational Practices

Education is still the great equalizer. Educators and systems of public education play a critical role in creating and maintaining multiple pathways for students to graduate on a road that reflects their aspirations, skills, and vision for themselves. Within communities of practice, we can work together to create safe teaching and learning environments for ALL students.”

School Administrators of Iowa 2019 Secondary Associate Principal of the Year

My Purpose

I strive to provide educators and students a look at many factors that interrupt academic achievement.  My discussions tackle the experiences and challenges that students face in communities and educational environments.

By focusing on real-life topics such as, Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), Trauma, Life Skills, Classroom Management, School Environment and Culture and more, it gives teachers a positive outlook on how childhood adversities affect students' persistence and resilience levels and how to empower them to succeed at higher levels.
